Meet The Team

Jonathan trained at Sheffield University. After qualifying he worked in London for 15 years. He then moved back to Herefordshire  and worked for DTZ in Birmingham and then Andrew Grant estate agents before joining GJS Dillon in 2016 and becoming Director of The House Surveyors in 2020.

Jonathan is married with 3 boys, is a qualified rugby coach and referee and has spent many hours at Luctonians rugby club!

His middle son is a chef, so he has developed a love of good food and also enjoys travelling.

Mark initially studied geology at the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London. He then completed a PGCE qualification at the University of Nottingham and taught secondary geography for 10 years. He then embarked on a career change and gained a distinction in his building surveying MSc at Nottingham Trent University.

He moved into residential surveying and worked for Connells for 7 years and joined The House Surveyors in 2025.

Mark is married with 2 boys and is often found walking by the River Severn or over the Malvern Hills.

Since entering the property industry in 2008, Erica has built extensive experience in the residential property sector across Worcestershire and South Shropshire. Her career has given her an in-depth understanding of local housing stock, property construction, condition, and value, together with the practical issues that can affect homeowners and buyers. This strong foundation underpins her work as an AssocRICS Residential Surveyor.

Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her partner and their son. Most weekends are spent visiting the grandparents on their farm in South Shropshire, where they enjoy making the most of the countryside and quality family time.

Sam worked for 17 years for the Halifax in Oxford and held a variety of positions which covered banking, mortgages, and financial services before moving to Worcestershire in 1997.

After taking a short career break to raise her two sons, Sam worked for 19 years as an Office manager for Allan Morris Residential Lettings in Droitwich before joining,  the team in 2022, as PA/Administrator to the residential surveying team.

Sam has always enjoyed providing good customer service and prides herself on ensuring clients receive the advice they need when making contact to arrange a survey for a house purchase or a Red Book Valuation.

In her spare time Sam likes to travel as much as possible, enjoys weekends away with friends and going to see stage musicals with her favourite being Les Miserables. Sam is never happier than planning her next trip abroad!

Vicky’s previous roles included Office Management and Contract Co-ordination before she joined The House Surveyors in 2024.

Originally from Hertfordshire, she lived in Greece for 5 years in the 80’s and then moved to Worcestershire where she met her husband.

Vicky has many years’ experience in office management, and pride herself in the rapport she builds with clients, colleagues and other service providers. Customer Service is high on her list of priorities, especially in an industry such as this where buying a property is such a big commitment

Vicky has a grown up daughter and two German shepherd dogs, a breed which she has had for many years – one is a rescue who is quite a handful but she loves walking with them every day.

Steph brings a varied professional background to her role at The House Surveyors, having previously worked in the medical distribution industry as a Project Manager for surgical instruments for several years. Before that, she was a Sales Co-ordinator for Connells Estate Agents, covering two busy offices, before moving on to work alongside a law firm in their Conveyancing department, experience that gave her a strong grounding in the property world.

Steph genuinely enjoy helping others, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the end result: happy customers who come back time and again.

Outside of work, you will usually find Steph at the gym (her favourite class is Blaze), or out running with her local run club. She loves taking part in 10k races, and her favourite part is always seeing the finish line. Steph’s weekends are full of football and hockey matches with her two children, and when time allows, she enjoys getting away on mini city breaks.
