Our Level 1 valuation report is a detailed document that advises on the current market value of the property and is for statutory purposes only. It is important to remember that a valuation report is not a survey of condition, and only the major defects likely to affect the actual value will be pointed out.
RICS Red Book Valuations
Professionals who assess the value of properties and land have to work within strict professional standards set by RICS, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – and the publication that covers these valuation standards is known in the industry as the ‘Red Book’. All our surveyors are qualified to carry out Red Book Valuations and surveys which means they’re fully compliant with the most recent RICS professional guidance and stipulated content.
RICS Home Valuation – Level 1

Limitations of a Level 1 Report
It is important to remember that a valuation report is not a survey of condition, and only the major defects likely to affect the actual value will be pointed out. The inspection would typically involve a walk-through of the property, noting the elements, however it is non-intrusive i.e. none of the occupier possessions, furniture or fittings are moved or altered. We take a number of photographs, some of which are included on the report, with the remainder held on file.
